Back in the day Rousey dealt mostly with soccer moms:

Most of them were one dimensional (maybe half dimensional) and always with POOR striking

Now in 2017 I see more well rounded chicks... they can strike, they all have ground game, etc

The level in WMMA is not close to MMA but the gap is smaller today.

Though Invicta and strikeforce have done a lot for WMMA, I think that since UFC included the chicks, the sport has evolved seriuosly.

Thoughts?

Women's MMA has been good for years.

Everything is evolving and that included the men's as well.

You got men and women training together everywhere so of course the gap is going to lessen year by year.

Well, the champions in both weight classes can scan can strike. That's evolution already.
Grappling was never too bad.

Amanda has been a deadly striker for half a decade, she just didn't get to the title picture until recently.

There are 6 actual fighters at 135 now, instead of 3. And Zingano, Tate and Rousey are arguably the worst of the six.
