Prior to werdum/miocic a lot of people were commenting on how dull stipes personality was.... One sherdogger even compared him to a first aid dummy.
However when the time came he went out there and got the job done flawlessly..
Does his performance heighten your interest in future title defenses? Or do people want to see a champ with more charisma like a Mcgregor type character.

I only ask because i was thinking about how much of a draw nick diaz is, and at the end of the day i suppose its primarily because of his personality and shit talking during fights... Laying down in front of silva, and yet he hasnt won a fight since 2011..... And his fights in the ufc have not been the most exciting.
I like the diaz bros but it got me thinking how much more cheese you can make in this game just by having an outlandish personality..

If you're a great chef there's a good chance your food is great as well.

One thing I'll say is that often people mistake personality for the ONLY reason a fighter is succesful.

The foundation for Chael's stardom, and everyone wanting a rematch with Anderson, is that he came extremely close to beating him. Conor McGregor went on a 7 fight win streak that ended the reign of Jose Aldo etc.

Without their success as a fighter I doubt they'd be nearly as big of a star as they became.

Completely agree. You have to have both. The personality doesn't have to be outrageous either. Look at GSP. Very down to earth and respectful. That was his deal.

Diaz bros. and Conor are way out there and that sells for sure. Miocic is pouring on the Cleveland thing. That could work for him short term.

It has everything to do with it.
Everything starts mentally and spiritually
Imo one just has to set the right frequency
