If Crumble couldn't KO slam or haymaker Branch I don't see how Yoel lands a low blow. Yoel is only 5'10.

I don't think people realize how hard Rockhold must hit from mount. It's like Rockhold doing pectoral flyes.

I am very confident that Yoel can take Branch down and GNP him. He has seen the tape of Branch's last fight with Luke and I would assume that is the obvious strategy. I like Branch but I don't think Romero will have much trouble taking it to the mat and unleashing a brutal barrage of strikes.

Yoel will throw him around at will and probably finish him, which Rockhold couldn't.

this is perfect for yoel to showcase some stand up.. Branch is weak on the ground in this division

Branch's ground game is not the greatest but I could see him getting the job done if Romero is content to stand with him. Romero could take him down but fighters don't always follow the best strategic gameplan. I think a win over Romero makes up any ground he lost losing to Rockhold and then some.

Rumble didn't become UBER Rumble until making the full-time move to LHW, iirc this fight was contested at Franklinweight.

Romero gonna Romero

Hes gonna play around, pounce back and forth, then Bam go for some HL shit

And then yea, he may take him down at will too

Not super pumped for this fight.

Romero can't hold anyone down. He can take down anyone but has a freestyle wrestling background where holding your opponent down is not part of the sport.

I have wrestled both freestyle and folk. I know the differences. Younare right he usually doesn't keep anybody down but I believe he has the ability at this point to hold Branch down and hurt him. Branch is not a great wrestler like Brunson or Weidman. Not even as good as Whittaker. Takedown to GNP is surely a better strategy than standing up with Branch the whole time.

I understand that goes against what he normally does. He normally strikes and knocks someone down before finishing but this is one fight where I think he can safely take somebody out in the first round. I think he has the ability to hit the takedown and land some bombs as Branch is trying to stand back up and finish Branch somewhere around there.

Ufc match making is pathetic lol. Branch has one fucking win in the ufc since his return and it is a split d over Jotko.

I guess Yoel really wants that gimme tune up fight like Rockhold got. He'll probably get a title shot after too lmfao. Hopefully Branch spoils the plan, I will laugh my ass off.

Branch is a legit Gracie black belt, and he's won many fights by controlling people on top. What makes you think so little of his ground game?
