Fight was extremely close. Merab damn near lost his title that night while laughing his head off.

Umar won the first 2 rounds. A single mess up, mistake, taken surrendered, or random knockdown and Umar could have won the belt during those final 3 rounds.

How ppl can try to claim that Merab dominated him is baffling to me, although for what it’s worth, it was a humbling experience for Umar.

Getting a dominant fighter like Merab with his insane cardio as a 3 to 1 dog is one of the most insane lines I've ever seen.

It was a fantastic fight and very close. Umars cardio cost him but he was very impressive, even when gassed. Merab as always a machine of a fighter. I was impressed by both guys.

This will be a humbling experience for Umar and he will come out of this loss a much better fighter.

I can see him getting the title before he turns 32. He has all the skills in the world. Time will tell.
