As the title says how many times do you think Cain vs JDS will fight before there career is over? It seems as if 3 is guaranteed. With the lack of depth at HW I'm thinking at least 4.

I would say 5.....they already fought twice. A third is on the way and unless more heavyweights enter that division I see them two fighting for the title every other year until one of them retires.

3. I think Cain wins with his wrestling again and it wouldn't make sense for JDS to get another shot after being mauled twice consecutively.

3. The rubber match determines who truly is the better fighter.

Yeah it kind of looks that way.

They're the new Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski.

As many times as people post in this thread. So come on sherdog, get off your ass (or stay on it) and post.

I would guess more than 3, it looks likely that they may be fighting for the 3rd year in a row if they both win the next fight.

I really hope they do Werdum vs champion once he beats Big Nog. In a perfect world Hunt beats JDS and Silva beats Cain that way they both have to spend a little while working their way back up the ladder so we don't get rematches shoved down our throats.

4 or 5 times unless some new contenders show up. Hell, short of Reem and Cormier JDS has practically cleared the division. Cain at least has Reem, Mir, Werdum, Nelson so he can squeeze in a few contenders. And wherever Hunt can make it.

HW is too damn shallow.

The sad part is, this is probably as deep as the HW division has ever been.

HW divsion has very little talent and thats always been te case. they can easily end up fighting 2 more times.

That depends.

If Cain wins a third fight, that will be the end of it.

If JDS wins, they'll fight as long as it takes for Cain to become a champ again.

I hope only three but the way it's going more. If Jds wins then he has a title shot even if werdum wins which is bullshit. That will Cain vs Jds by the end of the year. So whoever loses is still probably going to be #2 in the division for a while so he either takes out a bunch of contenders or continues to get rematches. The UFC will choose the option that makes them the most money which is rematches.

If the UFC spaced out their shots appropriately and let them each build momentum this wouldn't happen. Plus when they did fight it would be more exciting.

Hopefully Jones comes up in a year to bring in new life in the division.

But those 2 are by far the best HW's there are (were and will be for a long time)
