It is really unfortunate because the ceiling for Larkin is still incredibly high. Watching him fight, he shows signs of a true contender. It just hasn't came together for him, hopefully he gets another shot.

He needs to wear a mask or something to cover up that face.

The guy has a great style to watch. Plus he lost to Tavares and gave him an arguably tougher opponent in Costas.

He dominated Lawler. If he could get down to 170 he could do well.

Losing to top 10 guys is nothing to be ashamed of. He has a reasonable shot against anybody at 185. Yes, even Christ Whiteman.

He is UFC level. He got robbed against Carmont, and he had a close fight with Tavares.

Carmont/Larkin was a terrible decision to be fair. I haven't watched it since it happened live, but I remember thinking how horrible it was and I've seen a lot of people say it on here, too.

I think he should get one more shot in a win or go home type fight. Like against Tom Watson or something, that would be a good fight

Is he just taking up roster space? Is the MW division so full of top guys?

I don't think he should be squeezed out of UFC just yet. It's not as if Costa is a pushover.

Maybe he needs to study tape of his opponents better and come up with a solid gameplan and execute it with a sense of urgency.

He still has potential. Besides, UFC doesn't cut guys for not being UFC capable, heck they will cut you even if you are a UFC level fighter. They cut you if you are not exciting, and Larkin is pretty damn exciting.

That is sort of how it works, around here, guys like Costas and Tim Boetsch are mediocre fighters and so if someone can't beat them, or gets finished by them, they are basically taking up space in the UFC. It is up to you to decide how fair this is, but it is the way it works.

I think he deserves more shots because he's an entertaining and exciting stand-up fighter.
The guy just had a tough break.

His grappling is light years behind elite MW's, especially the champ's.

Someone like Chael, Jacare, Rockhold, or Kennedy would make him look like an amateur.
