No more than 4. Don't know how anyone could think the rematch was a robbery when Max was so complacent for the better part of 3 rounds.

3 judges unanimously gave Volk 4/10 rounds. Max got 2/10 unanimously.
 
Max won the second fight in my opinion and 2/3 of media and fan scores on mmadecisions.com

I dont know why people talk about the first one being close, competitive yeah but there wasnt a doubt in my mind Alex won it when I watched it live.

This. Although I wouldn't have been disappointed if they gave Max round three and the win in the rematch as it was close as all hell.

Absolutely thrilled that we get to see them go at it again in a few hours.

it’s really not a huge difference especially considering volkanovski’s main offensive tool was low kicks which neither hurt max or affected the way he fought which means they kinda don’t count.
 
6-4 or 7-3 Volk going from memory. But I’d have to rewatch, haven’t seen either since they happened.

If it didn't hurt him or affect the way he fought, why did he keep switching lead legs every time he got kicked? They were beating the crap out of his legs.

I watched both fights again yesterday, you might want to do the same.

i think making the third fight is dumb. volk won 2. one was close imo . max never got fully blown out but imo he was beaten enough that you can say volk was a clear victor out of the two fights. there are cases where you can make this sort of fight. say max beat volk pillar to post for 2 fights in a row but volk ended it in the 5th round or was given a really controversial decision then maybe you can make some arguments for running a third fight but it wasn't like that. max lost those fight fair and square. no steroids or injuries played a factor either.

say max takes it now. then what? max vs volk 4 and 5? if he looses then what? max fighting down the ranking again for a few years or moving up weight? it seems like bad timing to me. like they really want to push for max to get that other shot.

although i do think aldo beat mores i saw issue there with the ufc deciding the winner after the judges scores read. even though they were right it started to feel like less of a sport and more of a corrupt entity which i'm sure it is to an extent but either fix the judges or stick with their call. you can't just be like fuck the judges we are making this or that fight. wins and losses need to matter which is why proper officiating should be their first priority.
