Bookmakers made lots of money thanks to this event.

Uh, the odds were fairly close on my bookie, as they should have been.

Only people who don't watch the sport thought Joe was going to somehow walk right through him. Dude is 17-1 for a reason.

I bet on Fig. Dude is a savage. And I typically bet on guys who come in heavy, not cutting those final 2.5 pounds is a massive advantage.

Why would somebody bet on an over the hill legacy guy?

Next easy bet is Izzy to beat Grandpa

Lots of people especially started putting more money on Joe after Fig didn’t make weight.

Nope fight not to go the distance was $2.05 way better odds.

I lost 10k
not happy but its ok life goes on
part of the game
win some lose some

I had no idea who fiegoredo was, otherwise id have bet the house on him. I knew he was going to win after the first minute (even made a thread)

if you knew who he was and u bet on beefcake, u deserved to lose that home

I do not not why people put money on the other fight because a fighter missed weight. Didnt have to suffer a full weight cut. I usually back the fighter who missed or simply dont bet on it

You sound like a guy who's trying to sound rich by pretending 10k isn't alot of money but probably has a gambling problem.

Im even for the year still , was positive almost 10 last year

no gambling problem - just makes fights more exciting and you pay for the enhanced entertainment

I usually reconsider a bet if the fighter I was intending to bet on their opponent comes in overweight, it doesn't necessarily mean they got sick, but may have underestimated and felt good throughout training camp they didn't focus on the weight cut as much. The overweight fighter will usually have a weight advantage especially when it's in the lower weight class, it makes a bigger difference IMO.
