I understand Latvian (Native), Russian and English, but when I have to actually speak the last two, especially with random people that I've never met before, I'm fucked. It's a combo of anxiety and insecurity because of my thick accent that makes me stumble.

Ingish
Dagestani

All eastern European languages are interintelligible if your vocabulary is large enough, they all descend from the same proto Slavic language (old church Slavonic).
Although all languages are interintelligible if your vocabulary is large enough, technically, but that is a philological discussion. I have never been to Croatia or read a Croatian book but am confident I could order food have a nice conversation and get a hotel. Idk what 'fluent' means in the internet age, but I guess if you can have a 5 mimute conversation with someone in a different language without using google you are at least half fluent

Basic basic Chinese like 50 words. Chinese is cool

1.85 You don't use it you lose it and there aren't a whole hell of a lot of Hungarians around to practice that language with. That's what happened to me speaking German as well. She gone.

Just English. I've been able to get by with rudimentary Spanish that I picked up while working in a Chinese restaurant.

My favorite Chinese place at grad school was like that.
Asian couple who owned the place and worked the front, then an unknown number of Hispanic kitchen staff.
Made really good Chinese food, though, including the best Asian soups I've ever encountered.
