How many guys on here actually train/have trained in martial arts?

Boxed for a few years in high school
Wrestled in high school and college (JC and D2)
JC All-american
Currently training Muay Thai and BJJ
 
I think TKD can complement Muay Thai greatly.

I think that if there are 2 Muay Thai fighters of nearly equal skill, but one of them is also a TKD black belt, while the other has only trained Muay Thai... The guy with the TKD black belt has a serious advantage due to knowing how to not telegraph kicks, flexibility and leg dexterity.

DO you agree?

The flexability helped alot. But the technique used in muaythai kicks compared to tkd is very different.. id say mt is brute force while tkd is finesse. that being said i never gave up my tkd roots and always used my variety of kicks when sparring or hitting a bag and i think i was much lighter on the feet than other guys in my mt classes. The downside was that tkd forced me to have a orthodox stance but in learning mt i found out that i was a natural southpaw.
 
26 years, mostly traditional. I'm a black belt in karate and japanese jujitsu, as well as purple in bjj. Own a gym, but its in a small town so make of that what you will.
