How many fighters better than Ronda actually existed in WMMA history?

She never had a hope in hell against Amanda. If you don’t realize that. You’re beyond help. Add in Cyborg. What would Ronda do to her?

Ridiculous ovary hugging.
Well she'd def beat Cyborg. Thats easy. Cyborg just gonna come in and get thrown like the overrated roid freak that she is.

Amanda tho is a bad matchup for her ultimatley.

Her ability to control the distance and keep Ronda at the end of her very powerful punches is a nightmare situation for Ronda. Worse than the Holm situation and it showed.

I wanted to see Val vs Ronda more than anything at the time. I think Ronda loses that fight 10/10 at 135.

Rousey choosing the more powerful Nunes after getting KO'd by Holm was a dumb decision born out of pride. She needed to mentally recover prior to a championship caliber fight and instead got retired rather brutally on her feet. Val would have been a better pick.
Shevchenko was NOT the champion. Ronda was one of the biggest draws in UFC history. And you wanted to see her fight a contender?

Ronda armbars Shevchenko in her sleep. She did not have the power in her strikes to keep Ronda off of her. You can’t be serious?

There is little difference between Amanda and Cyborg. Except Amanda was more cerebral. Not just go full ham. And she is WAY more rounded than Cyborg.

But that was the way Cyborg/Amanda was always going to go.. As in, swang and bang til someone goes to sleep (KO/TKO). Thank the stars.. Amanda was the one still standing.

Amanda moved up to fight Cyborg. Ronda always counted correctly, that Cyborg would NEVER make 135.

Cyborg by TKO in round one, imo.

Gina Carano had nowhere near the level of accomplishment of Ronda Rousey. They aren't really comparable.

I suppose they were both bully-style fighters that liked beating people up but couldn't handle losing.

But Ronda Rousey has a long list of accomplishments before she decided that MMA wasn't for her. Carano had a couple of decent wins.
I'll grant that Ronda was definitely more skilled. But both took advantage of an 1990s early UFC/NHB stage of WMMA. Gina was a size bully who was probably slightly more skilled than most other women in that era besides Cyborg. Ronda was very stong in 1 or 2 areas (high-level judo TDs and arm bars). Like Royce Gracie, early opponents didn't know how to defend themselves and often fought afraid, making them easy victories.

Most of the fighters listed as same level are superior to Ronda. Holm being inferior is probably a bad joke.

Gina Carano was popular because she was beautiful, not because she was a great fighter.

Bein a one trick pony dont mean dick.

If you beat everybody with it, its actually cooler.

I love how her being "hostile" and saying mean words has anything to do with how good she was as a fighter. No one asked about her personality.
Imagine if Pereira or Holloway's striking game had totally canceled, what more could they to offer? They are a one trick pony too? lol

Ronda would never get submitted by Tate lol
And Holm would never finish every Ronda's victm that fast and easy

I can tell you how many in MMA history existed.
Over 100 million

That is so weird man, Tate is not even on the list.

Styles make fights. You can't say Weili is the same level of Ronda for example. Weili is far superior.

Was Gina really much bigger than others than her opponents? She faced Kaitlin Young who was a big chick

Some of them. I'm pretty sure she was a good bit bigger than Evinger, who was her best win. Evinger went on to have a nice streak later and win a belt in Invicta. Gina may have also been a better fighter at the time--I didn't follow it closely enough to know.

Dana and UFC like to take credit for WMMA - Gina Carano was the face and leader. She was a true champion. It's unfortunate that cyborg who was on peds was able to tarnish her legacy. RESPECT FOR GINA!

but it wasnt 1990's, the ladies in her era were little different than they are now, they were also sparring with men, training against takedowns like they are now. Ronda brought the do or die to the ring, and most of the time it worked out, but then she went hollywood for a bit, went on media campaigns and dropped the ball eventually with holm. Her personality lead to her run and it's also a reason she couldnt make a comeback, she's too passionate to use her brain, assuming that she had one.

It was an analogous period to 1990s NHB. If not, Ronda wouldn't have been able to dominate with such a limited skillset.
