I've got the number around 250K, maybe a little higher as most of my predictions have been low of late.

Whatch'all think?

It's so much better than 184, but I'm guessing it won't do more buys.

I went with 301-325

About that, unless there is a wave of people that got excited about these past PPVS and buys it, I doubt it will crack the 400. Terrible marketed.

I think it will do around 300K. It's a pretty good card, even with the females in it.

Probably around 300k...which is sad cause a card like this deserves at least 400k. Oh well, i'll be there in attendance to enjoy it live :)

Maybe around 400k, still riding that momentum from UFC 181-UFC 183.

I think if it does over 400k, it would be considered a success. Pettis just doesn't have to star power yet to headline a card by himself and RDA isn't a help at all.

I think Jones vs cormier brought a lot of casuals back.

Then return of the goat, the new goat, and ronda etc,i think the ufc had a tidal wave of momentum right now and as long as they put on stacked ppv cards people will buy em.

So im saying 500k buys

Huh, am I missing something, did UFC not bother to promote this event?

This is a damn good card, but no real PPV draw. I'm happy if it does over 300K.

If Rousey or Jones is the headliner of UFC 185, it might actually crack 1 million.

It'll do over 300k easy. This has been a good year for UFC and they will ride that momentum. I'd say closer to 400k maybe a bit under. Been pretty close in all my guesses the past few PPV's.

But it'll prove that main events are what sell, not stacked cards sadly.

pettis is the draw lol you have no idea what your talking about

I can just get little gauge on it because you can see different sides of each factor:

On one side the Ronda event which got hype just a couple weeks ago could help this card momentum-wise, but on the other it could over-shadow it.

On one side Ronda's hype could create mainstream respect for WMMA, on the other she's light year's ahead of either Carla or Joanna as a fighter and draw.

On one side Pettis is the #1 fan favorite among the hardcores, on the other the awareness of him among the casuals is moderate because of the division and lack of recent fights.

RDA is also probably his toughest opponent to date, but his least sexy as a name in a long time.

So anything from 200-450k wouldn't surprise me. 500k is pie in the sky. A PPV headlined by Pettis probably needs this fight and another on Fox or that creates a Sportscenter highlight to achieve that.

Do you even remember how many PPVs "UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis" brought in? 270K.

That's why most people in this thread are considering UFC 185 to be a success if it does anywhere between 300K to 400K. Any higher would require extreme optimism accompanied by a Peace Pipe.
