I hate when a champion sits on the shelf without defending for along time. It is way more exciting when there are belts on the line whether it's interim or not. That just means that when the champ is ready he has an automatic challenger ready. I would say 6 months and then give us an interim title fight and keep things moving along. Give the fighters in the title hunt something to strive for. Thoughts?

15 months. If the champions fails to fight, then he's stripped. No interim belts.

IMHO...I'd say 12 months from their very last fight.

Or at least have a fight scheduled if it's past the 12 month mark.

They should just create an interim belt straight away and then when the champ comes back he fights to keep it.

28 months, 6 days, 42 hours, 12 minutes...

I like 12 months it should be sooner but you gotta give time

No fight scheduled by exactly one year after last title fight, strip 'em.

Not sure when to schedule the interim title fight, tho ... maybe if no fight scheduled by 8 months, do an interim. Give 'em four more months to schedule a fight before stripping.

1 year max, you dont fight you lose your title regardless of what the situation is....and no more of this champ fights once or twice a year shit...you fight 3 times or your stripped!! HA \m/

In my opinion it should be one year if the fighters fails to compete once he or she fails to do so unfortunately he or she will be stripped of the Championship.

6 months or a fight scheduled within 3 months from then.
Also minimum of 3 fights a year.

Should be same as ranking goes, 365 days of inactivity and no upcoming scheduled fight in the next 90 days should be instilled with an interim champion. If the champion cannot fight in the next 6 months, the Interim champion is promoted to undisputed status.

If the champion is guaranteed to be out a significant amount of time, then an interim title should be made. When the champion returns, he faces whoever has the interim title.
