Yeah, for anyone who doesn't have an anti Conor agenda the evidence supports the opinion the Conor knows what he's doing on the mat, not saying he should be looking to play that game with Diaz but him being shit on the mat is a nonsense haterism.
Yeah, it would probably be foolish to try and have a JJ match with Diaz and folk who proclaim themselves as HARDCORE FANS on here, look at it in very black and white terms and say 'Uh, Conor will never reach Diaz' level in that period of time' which is obviously not the aim or feasible to do, but he can learn how to get out of specific situations if it goes to the ground.
Kavanagh mentioned that Danis has a very aggressive style of trying to submit folk at tournaments and he's solely a BJJ guy. That bloke who videos the Mac Life vlogs is there as a training partner and there's a couple of young lads from SBG who are there as well.
One guy in particular who is the only fighter to ever pull off a 'Berimbolo' twice in an MMA fight and is only 20, 21, looks very slick.
I remember when Maia turned into a kickboxer until he got flattened by Marquardt and then went back to his base and has put himself near a title shot (though I don't think he'll get it) He has openly admitted he didn't care for BJJ until the Duffy loss when he got in to it. That's around 10 years of working on his game.
