    Being active accounts for something. One win over a guy higher than you doesn't give you their ranking, or else Guida would be #1.

    because kabib hasn't beat anyone better than dos anjos and dos anjos has beaten henderson.

    Activity, Rafael just KO'ed former champ and perennial contender Benson Henderson. In this sport fighters are growing evey day, Rafael has shown more that Khabib in the last half year

    Khabib is out injured, so I suppose it bumps him up.

    That's the problem with the media deciding the rankings, it all depends on "what have you done for me recently" rather than who you have and haven't beaten.

    Basically this. Otherwise Cruz would still be champ at 135.

    But it does pain me to see Dos Anjos get hyped up when Nurmsmaghggogmvogedov handled him recently.

    It says in the ranking criteria that you can either do rankings based on perceived skill level (who would win in a fight) or how close the fighters are to a title shot.

    Since he's up next, RDA is obviously #1 using the latter criteria.

    Well he beat the number 1 bendo by knockout the number 3 Cerrone by decision and when khabib beat him he was ranked like 7th add Inactivity and a few top 10 wins u have urself a number one contender
