How interesting do you think the Rogan/Anik dynamic will be?

I'm very interested to see this play out after years of Rogan/Goldy I am curious to see how well Rogan will play off of a new face.

To be honest I'm afraid. Rogan can be very "clique" when he wants, I hope he wont try to make Anik feel out of his element. Goldie seems impervious to it, I hope Jon can make the best out of it.

I would've liked Ken Flo and Rogan instead of Anik and Rogan as Anik is making me sick. He speaks as if he has "checked too many head kicks".

Hope Rogan interviews the fighters in the cage, Anik always seems awkward to me

I'd much rather see Chael, Frank Mir, Randy Couture, Kenny... basically anyone besides Jon Anik. I'd rather listen to my dog bark all night

Anik is very different from mike's commentating style. He does not really get behind action taking place when it happens...

But everything else about them, is virtually identical.

It will be terrible, just like everything Anik is involved in.

I think Joe Rogan will be extra douchy, but Anik won't roll over and play dead like Goldberg did.

    I agree.

Goldberg catches a lot of shit on these forums, but I think he brings a lot of enthusiasm that will be missed with Anik taking his spot.

Is this just a one time thing, or has something happened with Goldberg? This thread is the first I've heard of any change to the PPV commentating team.

It will be just fine, the fight is the center piece.

I'm interested in seeing/hearing it play out too.

I don't know why Anik gets so much hate on these boards. Sure he's a regular commentating type with no particular flash. But I'd take a steady down-the-middle type like Anik over the canned dialog that Robo-Goldie bombards me with every PPV.

Ever since they announced that they were adding a second announcing team (another PBP guy) in the mix I have been wanting to see what Joe would be like partnered with a sentient being.

i Dont like this anik guy. But i dont like rogan either. i try my best to mute rogans voice during fights. He is too bias during fights.

i can listen to Pat Miletich and believe or not Frank Shamrock.
They have actually being there done that. they know what the F#ck they are talking about. Goldy is an idiot, Mauro the most annoying SOB in the planet.

"...so there's a nice right hand there by Jimi Manuwa." -Jon Anik's interpretation of exciting commentary as Jimi Manuwa beats the piss out of Kyle Kingsbury.

Oh well, at least maybe I'll get to tune him out with Rogan alongside him.

Didn't Bas say that he was going to commentate on this card? Or am I really hungover?
