I learned to swim in an Olympic pool in SoCal and I still remember the teacher doing this to us day one. We all made to to the lip of the pool and it was way deeper than that.

Yea, that's how my father in law taught my wife and she almost drowned , I've only seen her in a kid's pool twice and in a pool even smaller but waist deep a lot more .

She won't go near a deep pool.

But seriously though it's taking a long time to teach my daughter to swim. I don't want to force it because she might develop some traumatism and belong to all these people who hate swimming for their whole life. So I am being a soy cuck father and investing in her hapiness. Every single time at the pool and lake the progress is palpable and now she swims, although like shit, lol.

Same with me. Not only tossed, but also carried or dragged and held into deep waters by others against my will. Fuck that. Only place I'm swimming in is the bathtub.

They should have done all that when I was a baby and too stupid to care and remember, but now I'm scared of water for life
