Only fight UFC fight I saw of Ricco was his prelim fight against Pedro Rizzo, Keep reading his fight against Nog was a robbery.

His fight with Nog (2003?) was a very bad robbery.

He was great in the early days of mma, tough HW is still in those days it seems.

Prime Ricco was very good. Aside from the first round, he handled Couture with relative ease and finished him in the middle rounds if I recall. His biggest problem was his ego and training. It was well known that Ricco was always partying and couldn't stay in the gym long to train.

In the Smashing Machine, they even talk about it. Ricco was late or didn't show up for training one day, so the next time he shows up, Kerr asks Bas to "hurt" his partner. Sure enough, Bas and Ricco are sparring and Bas puts him down. Interesting stuff.

Could of been one of the all time greats, a very well rounded skill set. But his weight got out of control and never was the same after the Sylvia loss. Oh and the big Nog fight was close but still think Ricco should of got the nod.

IMO he was one of the better athletes of his era, and despite his success, turned out to be one of the bigger underachievers of the sport.

Nope. Tim picked him up to slam out of the armbar and ricco extended to crank the arm and landed on the top of his head
