I saw a couple of documentary on the guy but never see him fight (got into mma late in 06')
The guy beat pretty big name like Landi-jons & Jorge Rivera and went to a DECISION Vs Anderson Silva in 04' (I can imagine Silva was already a beast back then). Also a story of him Knockin'out Tito in a street brawl in Vegas. He was trainning at a pretty big camp in those days (miletich fighting systems)

If that guy decided to became a mma fighter instead of a big time criminal.
What could have been?
How many of you saw this guy fight? What was is strength/weakness

He was a loudmouth who's claim to fame was a questionable tale of KOing Tito in a street fight.

Decent fighter, but nothing out of the ordinary.

He was a good fighter;

Anderson toyed him in their fight, but there's no shame in that though

His boxing was really crisp and he was developing his ground game.
In the Silva fight he was just too slow and not diverse enough in his attack.
He certainly had potential to be a star. His reputation of being a bad ass and KO Tito is really what made such a buzz around him

He was very good. Maybe not the best of his day, but anybody that fought him knew they were in for a real fight. crazy dude

Good striking.
Even beat Tito's big head in a street fight.

he could get in and out of the vault with the bags in 45 seconds flat.

Really good but he wasn't super well rounded, kind of a specialist. I'm not sure if i'm remember his fight with Silva right or not but I thought Silva had to use his ground game to win that fight or at least I remember him taking it to the ground which is the only time I think he's ever preferred to grapple in a fight rather than strike.

are you kidding me? I have it on good authority he beat up tito, he went the distance with Anderson Silva, and the guy barely even trained. He's a scum bag yes but he was good. Wasted potential

I've only seen his one fight in the UFC. It was mostly memorable because he was extremely cocky in his pre-fight video, where he goes on about how he goes out there with the intent to KO his opponents. Also how he finds submission victories less satisfying. He vaguely had this Phil Baroni-esque, you-want-to-watch-him-get-punched-in-the-face, air about him.

So what does he go out and do in the actual fight? Triangle-choke his opponent. Well so much for all that posturing before the fight...

Lee Murray vs Anderson was a fight I could never find back in the day. If any one has a link to this fight let's see it. Otherwise I'm calling BS on anyone acting like they saw this fight.

Yeah I tend to believe them over tito. Just sayin. I doubt they are all liars.

Didn't even Jens say it happened? I know he doesn't lie.

YouTube is your friend ...Just type in Lee Murray vs Anderson Silva . Lot's of videos showing whole fight , not hard to find.

If he had moved to the states and kept out of trouble and controlled his temper, he probably would have been one of the top 5 best middleweights of all time. People may argue that, but he never came close to his potential.

He was a hard worker in the gym, physically gifted, had a decent ground game, and was probably one of the p4p hardest hitters in mma.

Phil and Lee were actually supposed to fight at ufc 48, then ufc 51, but Lee had visa issues for assaulting a man during a traffic accident, so pete sell filled in for Lee and ended up beating Phil after getting dominated most of the fight.

Phil had scary power back then, so did lee. Would have been a bomb fest if they would have fought.
