How good is Fiziev really? Is he overrated?

I see so many ppl here saying he smokes Gaethje but it's hard to say that when you see Fiziev hasn't fought any real big dog from the division

Fiziev has looked super amazing but against who tho? Gaethje has only been fighting the very very best for how long now?

Gaethje will be his first big challenge and I think that's going to be a hell of a jump for him, he is coming from fighting only unraked fighters and then fighting 40 years old Rafael dos Anjos and now fighting Justin fucking Gaethje? And ppl say Fiziev smokes him easily? Come on now Gaethje is a fucking monster too, I know it will be good for the division is Fiziev beats him so they would have new contenders, but I believe Gaethje stops him

I almost gave up on him after getting KO'ed in his debut. A lot of people thought he lost the Bobby Green fight, too. Who knows?

He is a far better striker than Gaethje IMO. I'd be very surprised if Justin manages to deal well with Fiziev's vastly more technical striking. He will need to land a KO shot or hurt him early, in order to take over after that.

Fiziev has much more variety (punches, low and high kicks, knees, elbows, etc.) and speed. Power about even IMO.

Gaethje needs to land a big punch or put on his wrestling shoes for this one. Even on that last point, he would struggle because Fiziev's grappling is pretty solid.

He is the best LW striker imo. He has great muay thai with great speed and power and really good tdd to boot. But his natural talents come at the cost of a cardio weakness which almost cost him the Green fight. He was starting to slow down against RDA too but he caught him before RDA could capitalize. I think he will beat Gaethje because Gaethje also slows down. But Poirier could beat him in a war of attrition. That would be a more interesting fight imo.

Chandler has a losing record in the UFC, his wins are over guys on terrible runs and the only reason he kept getting the Bellator belt is the other champs kept vacating it.

Fiziev is so great to watch because his offensive is so amazing, he is so fast and powerful
The thing is Fiziev doesn't have a good defense, I have seen him getting cracked by these unraked guys, I've always had the feeling that qhen one of the big dogs from the division connect clean on him, he is gonna fall

And what terrible runs are you talking about? Hooker was 3-1 before getting KO'd by Chandler with his only loss being a back and forth war FOTN against Poirier.
Ferguson was in a bad run, I give you that, but who has ever KO'd Ferguson like that?

His losses has been against Oliviera who he almost finished, same with Poirier and a FOTY with Gaethje

I think it's just about how they match up. Gaethje's willingness to eat strikes likely doesn't end well against a striker as skilled as Fiziev. There's always a chance he lands a bomb, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I trained a month at TMT back when he was coaching full time there and I've heard rumours about the guy.
There was a story that he would also train at AKA thailand, and in sparring nobody could even touch him.
I watched a couple of the pro sparring sessions at TMT and there certainly weren't many guys of his caliber around. And that was back before he even got signed to the UFC.
Decent wrestler as well.

I have the matchup at 50/50. That's how good I think he is.
