When Bisping is able to fight his style, he makes pretty good guys look pretty bad. Would you call him a point fighter? I gotta be honest, reluctantly I am coming to the realization that he is a pretty good fighter. I just find his style to be so boring, nonetheless it is effective.

So, how good is Bisping and will we continue to see him improve, or is he "topped out" with his potentia?

To answer the titular question: he is not.

He contributes little to nothing to Just Bleed God.
His best contribution is as a victim of the H Bomb.

i think he always loses to power strikers, remember what vitor did to him

Bispicg is top level no doubt but against hard hitting guys he has not a lot of chance

The top guys are usually super skilled in one department and very competent everywhere else.

Bisping is very competent in all departments, but doesn't really excel anywhere, that's why he'll probably forever be pushing for the title but not quite getting there.

I hate Bisping but he's very good. His lack of power though results in him losing to a lot of guys who might be "less skilled" but have the ability to change the fight with just a couple of strikes.

Bisping is PERFECT gatekeeper to determine who top fighters are. Bisping will beat just about any fighter that isn't a top fighter, and he'll lose to just about every top fighter in his division.

He's already got a nice career, but I can't see any scenarios at which he becomes a real threat to any belt.

Bisping is a quality fighter.

He's a great striker that' got some quickness to him.
Crafty on the ground offensively and defensively.
Cardio to full speed for days.

His issue is that his wrestling and TDs are not that great. If he doesn't like someones power or if he's fighting someone with great hands, he cannot dicate the fight.

Average durability as he has shown that he can get stunned or KO'ed.

Regardless, IMO, he's easily top 10.

Bisping beats pretty much anybody not in the top 8 or so. may never get close to a title shot again at 34 years old but I like watching him fight and he keeps goons out of the top 10 like a good gatekeeper should.

Meh, I think Bisping loses to fighters that know how to constantly push the pace and keep him on the defense. He's fought heavy hands like leben and stann but hendo, vitor, chael, and evans kept the fight to Bisping

Bisping is a very high quality fighter, but the reason he hasnt made to the top is because he lacks KO power, no matter what he might say.

He just has to totally overwhelm the opponent for a TKO finish or outgas him with his solid kickboxing to a decision.

Against guys like Vitor or Hendo, his problem was just that he needs to have a flawless performance to win against them, meanwhile they just need to hit him once on the button to win the match.

He's just good enough to almost get there...and then get brutally knocked out.

I'm almost inclined to say give him to the Silva/Weidman winner. Bisping's on a 1-fight win streak, sure, but his total resume is very good, and he's about the only top guy Silva hasn't murder-death-killed yet.

As I see it -
Positives:
Good work ethic
Follows game plans
Excellent cardio
Good hands

Negatives:
Lacks punching power
Susceptible to top tier wrestlers (Weidman, Sonnen)

UFC Top Ten MW - yes
UFC Top Five MW - very close, in the mix

He's definitely elite, he's top 10 (maybe 5) in the world at his weight. He just has a very clear cryptonite, he's always going to have a lot of trouble with aggressive strikers with knockout power. At least those with the speed to capitalise on that power. With the right kind of match ups (Okami, Munoz, Weidman etc) he is more than capable of being a title contender. He only has to worry when they put him against the Vitors and Lombards of the world.
