i was in a pub in bolton england i started talking about mma and boxing
and everyone in the pub was talking about and telling me how good amir khan is
and one of the guys said amir khan can beat pacquiao.

can you guys tell me about him and thanks

Doubt it. I can see ways in which Khan could win but whether or not he'd actually do it I don't know.

If they did fight however I'd probably go with Khan myself. I just contradicted myself I know but you have to understand we've been brought up on images of Khan for a long enough time now so I'd naturally side with him I think. He just sort of exists and no one knows what he is.

It's sort of like:
"Name your favourite boxer."
"Amir Khan."
"Why?"
"Eh..."

He's a very good fighter.
I heard that he was doing very, very well against Manny in a sparring session in prep for manny's last fight. That's not to say he'd beat him, though.

Amir and Manny have grown close as friends since they started sparring together and they agreed they'd never fight each other. So throw that fight out the window. But he's very good, fast hands, fast feet, but I think he may not be so famous and big here in America because he's British and a Muslim, despite being a good fighter and articulate and good-looking to boot. Whatevs, I'm a fan.

Khan has got fast hands (faster than Pacquiao according to Roach).
He's also a bit chinny, but he makes up for it with his heart (as he showed in his fight with Maidana).

He's set to fight Zab Judah next, and I believe he will win that fight (Judah just doesn't have it anymore).

In a fight with Pacquiao, I see Khan losing.
Khan also wanted a fight with Mayweather, but I see Floyd tooling Khan.

TBH, Khan vs Bradley is the fight most boxing fans want to see.

How big is MMA in the UK?

lol.... damn it, this wont end well

anywaayyss, back on topic.. Khan's a decent boxer, he's got quick hands, but over reaches with his punches quite often, and really needs to tighten up that defense and build better foot work.

He does show heart and has the characteristics outside the ring to make him a star.

He's from Bolton, I believe, so that would explain the praises he was receiving out there.

He's fighting Zab Judah, on July 23rd, real interesting match up, imo.

But as far as him beating Manny, I personally don't think so... and Mayweather's name has been thrown around out there as well for future opponents for Khan. Floyd would destroy the kid, as of right now... But if he keeps at it, and doesn't get too ****y, and works on his weaknesses.. I think he could be damn good one day.

Amir Khan has incredible physical tools but he can't beat Manny at this point but could easily be a guy who can help carry the sport when Manny and Floyd fade into the sunset. I think he's the best 140 pounder (which is a deep division) but if he ever moves up I could see his chin issues being tested. Timmy Bradley won't expose it though and considering he's dodging Khan I think that makes Khan the man to beat at 140.

khan is from bolton, represents them well and they are very proud of him so they would tell you he could beat pac lol. Khan says he holds his own with him in the gym, gets the better of him some days and vise versa
