Not elite enough to beat top-self talent like Clay Guida, but still pretty elite.

Nah, brah. He's not elite enough for True Eliteness. He's merely mildly elite. Like the Immortals from 300.
 
He's very elite and very much a wanted man LW is stacked with hitters biting to get at Pettis.
 
Those 2 gifs are perfect examples of how amazing this "kid" really is. Cerrone and Benson are 2 of the best around
 
He is the champ of the deepest division in the UFC. So I would say elite of the elite.
 
Considering that he's champion and has absolutely wrecked 3 top 5-10 fighters in a row now, i'd say he's alright i guess.
 
Pettis is a beast and the results are legit but I think Benson's mind wasn't completely in that fight and training camp. He proposed in the octagon immediately after the fight. I believe he was split focused on his upcoming marriage. Still think Pettis is the real deal.
