How does tony survive the first 1.5 rounds with Conor?

we know that if he is to win, it will be after those rounds. Will he play a diving heel hook game to waste time and tie up Conor? I’m not sure if tony has ever won the first round. If he has, it hasn’t been without getting his face busted first. There seems to be a decided conclusion that for 1.5 rounds Conor will battering Tony’s face like a tough steak.

Tony can take a beating, but he’s clearly not a Nate Diaz level chin. He routinely gets rocked, he simply recovers quite quickly. I don’t believe tony has fought anyone near Conor’s level of precision or timing. Conor has also eliminated many of the wasted energy and movement of his pre-Diaz style.

So how will tony survive? He has an uncanny ability to not understand head movement, distance, or I.q. In the first round, and Conor is polar opposite. I know people will dress this post as veiled Conor worship, but I’d like to have this discussion (I’m sure it’s happened plenty by now).

On the flip side, how will Conor win if it goes past 2? We can assume he would be up 2 rounds, with probably a 10-8 somewhere in there, but it’s a 5 round fight. Tony showed signs of slowing down against lee, perhaps his cardio can’t take him 5 high pace rounds with Conor and Conor can sneak in a close 10-9 in the 4th?
