I know about the laughable fighter pay but what about the merchandise side? Do fighters get a percentage of their gear that sells? Anyone have the numbers? I remember hearing they have to give their walkout gear back. Is this true? Also they have posted those ridiculous discount cards. How much stuff do they get for free?

The fighters have to clean the canvas after the fight I heard.

I remember when that deal first came out. The fighters get a really small percentage of any of their name branded wear. Its not enough to be meaningful.

I don't think those kits sell at all. I think I saw some fat kid wearing a fighter's kit but that was like one time in a so many years since the reebok/UFC deal was brokered.

I hear the fighters leave a $1000 deposit before the fight which is deducted from them should they get things like blood on the kit etc

Get out of here...Really? You mean to tell me the UFC is so petty they wont even allow the fighters to keep the gear they give them to fight in? What do they wash it and make them wear it again in their next fight, or does Dana sell the shit on E-Bay?

They got a coupon for 20% off a couple of years ago. What more do the greedy bastards want.

Somebody would have to want to buy Reebok merchandise for the fighters to get a percentage of it.

So, no, the fighters don’t get any merchandise money.
