How does the Northeast American BJJ scene compare to Califas in level of competition

    How does the Northeast American BJJ scene compare to California in terms of skill level, and level of competition?

    BJJ in the USA started in California and was the main base of the arts here in USA for a long time. But Brazilians have come north and sprung up schools everywhere, and there progeny have set roots in some remote places as well. BJJ sure has been in the Northeast for quite some time now too. I think Grapplers Quests founder Brian Cimins is from the northeast.

    Who are the best competitors coming out of the Northeast, or who were?

    gianni grippo, tim spriggs, matheus diniz, tye ryan are 4 bad ass brown belts that will make impact at black belt in the future
