With such a small record? There’s a women with a record 2-2 fighting on ufc 226.

Is this a rhetorical question, or you're just too lazy to do a research and find out yourself?

they can have another ma background or be from a very reputable gym

The talent pool in the ufc is really shallow. The ufc went from not having enough weight classes to having way too many.

It's not a mystery for the unranked fighters, they need to start somewhere.

The bigger mystery is that how a 1-4 in her last 5 fights was a legitimate #1 BW contender (Holm) or how 99.99999% of UFC watchers (myself included) dont know who is women's flyweight champion (and likely never heard of her either)

These two take the term "shallow divison" to a whole new level.

Why is the sky blue?

Big tits, cute face, at least one MMA win and you are in

WMMA is an anomaly. I don't mean an anomaly for mma I mean an anomaly of the universe. How so many of them have poor / losing records defies even the greatest mathematical minds on the planet. I mean someone has to win sometimes right?

Having a .500 record or damn near it, is not uncommon in WMMA. It’s like their all little Mark Hunts

How? Like this

Be friends with Miesha
Audition for TUF and get on the show
Impress Dana enough so he lets you drive his supercar
Move down to 115
Being blonde helps

Loser probably gets cut, they've too many straws on the roster

Amateur fights that leads to pro fights,
Pro fights in small league like URCC can lead you to be invited to well known leagues like ONE Championship, Bamma and Cage Warriors.

Well known leagues can get you invited to the big leagues like UFC and Bellator.

If you’re a man you need to be some crazy ass Olympic wrestler to get in with 2:0.

You’d think they’d have learned their lesson after Mike Jackson
Mike jackson ?! What is this insult if a comparison... Saki is regarded as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time, thus has name value. Saki actually debuted in the UFC with a record of 0-1, but that loss came when he was a kid and most likely didnt train any grappling, same with Badir Hari’s onky MMA fight. He defeated a guy with a 12-3 record in his UFC debut, so obviously the UFC’s gamble wasnt a bad one on him. This is not like MayMac, cause they are taking it slowly with him in a relative manner, even his next fight is a pretty lower tier guy.
