I don't know... I just don't see a way in which Magny wins this fight.
I'm not sure what the odds are but I assume Burns is a heavy favorite.

Anyone picking Magny to win? If so, how do you see the fight playing out?

I feel like Burns will be able to close the distance with ease and land a big shot on Magny. I got Burns via 2nd round TKO.

Gilbert is getting up there in age (though Magny is only a year younger) and the Khamzat fight might've taken a lot out of him.

I think Magny needs to obviously not get taken down and from there and hope his height and reach advantage causes Burns problems in the stand up. Keep it simple with straight punches and lots of movement

He doesn't... Gilbert mops the floor with Magny.

There are levels and Magny is good but not that good.

Move a lot and land straight punches from range. Gilbert seems to have a hard time with straight shots coming at him.

Its crazy to me that Magny is still about while so many others aren't.

I've honestly never seen an actual Neil Magny fan, but I can't knock the hustle... Gilbert should beat him like a drum though.

I don't see much of a path to victory for Magny in this one. Magny's a solid all-around fighter, but against guys with high end skills he usually struggles. Gilbert's obviously the superior grappler, and has way more power in the striking game, so Magny isn't really gonna threaten him on the feet.

Basically- The hope for Magny in this one is that Gilbert's 36, which is typically the age when WW's start to really decline. In some cases (see: Tyron Woodley) there can be a pretty sharp decline at that age. So Magny needs to hope that Gilbert's skillset has fallen off a cliff due to age, or that he's dealing with injuries. Otherwise I see Gilbert taking this one fairly easily.

Magny is 6' 3" and his reach is "80
Burns is 5' 10" and his reach is "71

Wall and stall on the fence as much as possible and use his length when not on the fence

if he gets taken down , he loses .

Magny needs to check low kicks as well. Burns will probably be kick heavy at range as he is likely welcoming to Magny trying to take him down.

He can win a decision if the fight stays on the feet and its a low volume kickboxing match.

Its unlikely but definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
