I would love to see Edgar fight Cruz, but I can´t agree with him coming from a loss to Aldo straight to the title fight. He already had many chances for the belt, so give him a real challenge in TJ and whoever wins, fights Cruz. How do you guys see this fight going?

TJ beats him, he is better at everything but wrestling.

I feel like TJ already deserves a title shot.

Besides, even though I've seen many people around here saying Edgar should fight at 135, as a fan of his I'd truly like to see him back at 155. The division is stacked, but I think his chances of touching gold again are higher than they are in Dominick's division.

Frankie vs. TJ would still be a pretty fucking good matchup though.

Interesting fight, I'd go with TJ.

That's a tough fight to envision because both their styles are so unique. I really don't know who would win but I'd have to lean towards TJ I guess.

Man, I´m a big fan of Edar myself, but the LW division today is full big killers and I don´t know if a guy like Edgar could still hang with them.... Of course skill wise he would still be among the best, but in terms of size he´d give away too much advantage.... even Benson Henderson was already looking "average/not that big" before he was gone. Edgar would look tiny.

Nope. Edgar's hands are better, and so is his BJJ, and so is his chin.

Seems like Frankie's never getting a belt again, like he's the new Faber.

Yeah, I really fell it could go both ways... they´re very evenly matched skill wise, I think both men would have a real hard time to take the other down. Cruz´s TD are more crisp than Edgar´s and he barely could get them against TJ and wasn´t able to hold him down, but I feel if Frankie does get the TD he could keep TJ on the ground and capitalize on it, whereas TJ wouldn´t be able to do the same with Frankie.... also Edgar is more durable. I think this would weigh in his favour.

You do have a point, but I just don't see Edgar beating Cruz and I want to believe that his speed could be a factor at 155. But yeah, both scenarios are tough for Frankie. :(

Frankie took down Faber and controled faber more than I've seen any other fighter. I think Frankie at 135lbs would likely have the best top game in the division.

If I had to bet, I´d go with this result too... I believe they will stand and make it a technical, but Frankie is gonna be looking for the TD all the time and eventually will get it and will capitalize there maybe in the end of the rounds, while TJ will have to struggle to get back up to avoid damage and won´t be able to fight as high volume with his kicks and combos as he usually is.

Noone has ever outwrestled him, even in the higher divisions. His gnp also has become very effective.

Edgar beats TJ fairly easily. If Edgar can pressure Cruz, tie him up against the cage and cut off his escape routes, I would favour him to beat Cruz in a decision.
