Man, I´m a big fan of Edar myself, but the LW division today is full big killers and I don´t know if a guy like Edgar could still hang with them.... Of course skill wise he would still be among the best, but in terms of size he´d give away too much advantage.... even Benson Henderson was already looking "average/not that big" before he was gone. Edgar would look tiny.
Yeah, I really fell it could go both ways... they´re very evenly matched skill wise, I think both men would have a real hard time to take the other down. Cruz´s TD are more crisp than Edgar´s and he barely could get them against TJ and wasn´t able to hold him down, but I feel if Frankie does get the TD he could keep TJ on the ground and capitalize on it, whereas TJ wouldn´t be able to do the same with Frankie.... also Edgar is more durable. I think this would weigh in his favour.
Not a damn thing lol should've mentioned I think Edgar beats TJ over 5 rounds.
If I had to bet, I´d go with this result too... I believe they will stand and make it a technical, but Frankie is gonna be looking for the TD all the time and eventually will get it and will capitalize there maybe in the end of the rounds, while TJ will have to struggle to get back up to avoid damage and won´t be able to fight as high volume with his kicks and combos as he usually is.
Noone has ever outwrestled him, even in the higher divisions. His gnp also has become very effective.Frankie took down Faber and controled faber more than I've seen any other fighter. I think Frankie at 135lbs would likely have the best top game in the division.
