Medium/Medium Well depending on the cut.

I was at outback after a similar thread to this and tried one well done . It was pretty disgusting.
 
It depends on what recipe it goes into.

Just a NY Strip for the grill? Med rare, salt, pepper, butter only.

Tartare? Obviously raw.
 
Medium rare.

If it is a nice cut fillet I like it in between rare and medium rare.

My cousin and uncle both like stuff well done-medium well. I just don't get it, I've tried it and it is just not good imo. Tough, lots of the natural flavor is lost, etc.
 
I've progressed, when I was younger I liked well done, then medium well and now I like it medium.

Haven't taken the dive at medium rare yet

I find whenever I order it well it has the chance to come out slightly medium well, which is perfect for me. If I try and order it medium well from the get-go, more often than not it will have too much pink.
 
Any ExP3rT will eat ketchup with well done steaks slathered all over.

A real expert would put that A1 on.

Well Done w/ A1 is the true OG steak.
 
grilled over an open flame w/ fresh cracked black peppercorns, sauteed mushrooms and slightly melted bleu cheese crumble.

i don't care how much its cooked as long as i can have all of the above.

I think you meant A1 with well done steak over it. You have to get the main ingredient of the dish in the right order.
