Just something about anime just really gets me <{clintugh}>
I never got it or really watched it. I know my younger brother watched the yu gi oh and played with the cards and shit. But it wasn’t me.

Your reaction is simply because much of it is indeed creepy and perverted, and it attracts weird nerds that find cartoon characters sexually attractive.

You all forgetting Dan Henderson. At different times he was stereotyped the exact opposite way as both "decision dan" and the "h-bomb"

But that doesn't change the fact that the term was popularized by Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yeah, that's just the words Shadow Realm. It's about the phrase that goes with the meme that is "Send you to the Shadow Realm", like you pointed out before, or other variations of sending one to the Shadow Realm, especially in reference of someone dying or getting KTFO!. They are not the same thing. Just like the M&M's slogan "Melts in your mouth, not in your hands." The individual words obviously were all already used before, but the slogan definitely belongs to M&M's.

I didn't use the whole phrase in my original response ITT, because I thought it was obvious as the meme is posted pretty regularly on here.

There are something like ten of them now. It's been around a while.

If it helps, think of it as contemporary to Pokemon. And that's been around for forever, of course.
I remember pokemon from my childhood but i was like 4 when yu gi oh first started.

To be fair though it was only his very early career(first UFC run and RINGS) he was mostly a wrestler, he was always getting KO's after that every so often but typically if he couldnt finish in the first few mins or so he switched to wrestling for a decision.

The turning poitn for Jorge was I suspect losing to Bendo and Larkin back to back, after that he started getting finishes again. Maia and Thompson were I think more the style matches than Mas not being aggressive.

Leave it to Sherdog to make a 5 page thread about Yu-gay-oh
