How do you break down Gi sizes?

For instance on most sites they the gis sized by height, all fine and well. However, I am painfully short and very wide. To be exact I am 5'6" and a 44" waist, what size would I be. Yes, I know I am VERY VERY FAT, hence the jiujitsu, now that that is out of the way, what size would I be?

id say an A3 with some hemming work on the pants for sure... maybe even A4. damn man 5'6" 44" waist? whats your diet like? have you been doing any cardio besides BJJ?

Diet went to shit after I graduated, I am in fair cardio shape just not good physical shape. I am still active I just have an awful diet, now I am turning up my activity level and turning my diet around too.

uh i just got a starpak single weave size 4 and it's about right (After 1 wash, 2 machine drys) and i'm 5'4ish soooo, wait are we on the same measuring scale? we have 1-6 sizes....
I'm not 100% sure if thats the same as the online A# sizes...
(Oh and i'm size 30 waist and it has a lot of slack in the waist so if i were you and you happened to buy a brand like this i'd get a size 4 and try not to machine dry it more than once when you first get it or it'll probably shrink
