Actually - It's a bullshit excuse for not trying or not wanting to go the gym when you are sore and tired. Why should I try with I'm all bruised up? How can I increase my squat/deadlift when I'm still sore from my imaginary MMA training? Anyway, do you need a peer reviewed academic journal to tell you it's ok to train when you have some "bruises?"
How about using your powers of inductive reasoning, smart guy - Do you know anyone at a high level in athletics that is not hurt or dealing with some sort of nagging injury. Do these athletes still make gains?
