Seems to me like many heights and reaches are inflated.
Moreover, wingspan isn't reliable source since shoulder length plays a big role there.
Standing reach like in basketball would be more relevant imo.

They measure from the base of the pelvis

And lol @ TS' username to OP content ratio

Dammit, I clicked in here to make a taint joke and already beaten to the punch multiple times!

But one thing is true, standing reach is way more appropriate.
I was told my whole life in boxing that I had t-rex arms. However my reach isn't that bad (72 inches for 70inches height or 5.10)
But it was my broad shoulders who gave me that reach.
My standing reach is 88 inches, so my standing reach to height ratio is only 1.26, which is laughable.
Average nba player has a 1.35 reach ratio.

I don't know. But what I do know is if Roy Nelson fought Conor, Conor would have a 2" reach advantage

Are you serious? Shoulder width is obviously a part of reach...From the middle of the back out, along the arm is how far they can reach to hit an opponent...

Yes, and it's one reason boxing coaches tell you to turn your body on punches, it helps maximise your reach (as well as power).
