Feel like the title is pretty self explanatory.

So far he's 2-0, against 2 good fighters who are realistically better than several of the guys who fought for the 125lbs belt in the UFC.

If he wins the tournament that's a big feather in his cap, and then if he fights and beats the champion that's an even bigger one. He would be 5-0 with a tournament win and a title belt.

So far nobody has been ONE and UFC champion so that's a major plus, especially at lightweight and below.

Personally I feel like he can beat Kingad and Moraes more easily than Wada and Wakamatsu, because they are good but less well rounded. I may be wrong.

It's a pretty damn cool venture, much more difficult than many assumed.

I think if he beats Kingad and goes on to develop a fanbase in Asia, that'll be be real good for his international legacy.

Maybe Kingad is easier, but I'm pretty sure Adriano Moraes is going to be an absolute nightmare for DJ.

How good is Wada compared to other top competitors at DEEP? For some reason, I've never heard of him outside of the fact that he got subbed by Motoya when they were both rather green. How would he compare to Victor and Motoya?

Probably not as much had he beat Dillashaw then moved up and beat Morales as he should have done in the UFC. But if he wins the tournament and become champion and then has a super rematch with Horiguchi that would be super impressive and propel his atg standing

very little. his legacy is secure as having the most successful UFC title reign ever.

wouldn't put him up there with either of them but he's still good
