I'm thinking about joining Gracie jiu jitsu so do I just go in and ask them that I want to join? What type of class should I do, and do please give me some advice for those of you who take jiu jitsu, really appreciate it.

okay first of all where do you live? the gracie place i go to in torrance you just go in, they give you options like private or group class, the payments etc

as far as class goes, i do group class because 1. i don't have enough money for private lessons, and 2. it's just better for me cuz i get to spar with others there. it's really up to you though.

First find out of there is even a place in your area.

Just a hunch, but maybe you should go back to school first before taking on GJJ.

I live in Torrance!

So just go in and look for a payment plan etc?

Yes, you can just walk into the school and tell them that you are interested in potentially joining. The school will take care of everything from there.

Don't listen to anyone else. To sign up for Gracie Jiu-jitsu is hard and arduous. It's like those old kung fu movies where you prove to the master that you are worthy of learning from them. You have to stand outside the academy for one week straight with no food or water. Then when prompted, you need to run up the closest mountain to obtain fresh water that you need to carry down via 2 buckets attached to a pole. After all that, maybe just maybe they'll let you pay them money to train at their academy.

I just called the place I went to, asked a few questions, and then showed up for a Saturday class.
