Right now I train twice a week. Starting this week I will also train on saturday and hope to train 5 times a week soon. But the thing is, once I finish training all I can think of is new things I want to try next time I'm sparring and all the things I messed up and want to improve on next time. It's distracting me from college work

this might sound lame. but incorporate it to your studies. in junior year, I had to write up a business model. I chose to research on an MMA fighter's business model, how he makes money, stages in his career, the investments he make (insurance, training).

it was a long-ass report, might as well picked a subject i was interested in. I was gonna use Fedor but can't find enough info him. Ended up using Randy Couture, which did overcomplicate things, cuz the income in the later stages of his career are mostly from the entertainment industry.

just my two cents.

This might help i did this all the time. I have like ten essays that include wrestling, Bjj, mma rule controversy and many fighters.

dude ive got the same issue, all i can think about is muay thai and training! From not wanting to even sip alchahol and do everything healthy, to thinking about combos and sparring to getting a fight and visualizing that..all i can think of is honestly, praise it! But leave some time for your college work, once thats done and youve completed your homework for example, think about boxing!!

Beat off to reruns of the contender and rocky I-IV. I find it quite relaxing.

Meditation
I try to meditate 30min a day before I start studying.

Sex/Masturbation
It helps forget about different things, and after you are done, it's a great time to read.

Alcohol
Not enough to get drunk, but enough to relax you. When I started Third-Semester organic chemistry, my professor told me: buy a white board, a bottle of scotch, and play with the reactions. This advice has worked well and I use it for other diagrammable problems (cell bio, anatomy/physiology, some physics)

If you have been training for a short time, this is a normal occurrence and will fade with time. Before I dropped out of seminary school, I read about "baby Christians", in a Christian "psychology" class. Once they accept Jesus, all they want to do is preach to everyone, buy different bibles, buy books, bible highlighters, shirts.....however, after a while they stop that phase of their "transformation" and just show up for services, functions, and small groups.
