how do I embed a video or a GIF

I"m a little retarded when it comes to this and would appreciate any help

take the spaces out from between the brackets though, they turn invisible when you embed

for pics and gifs [img ]your image/gif url[/img ]

for youtube vids only put whats underlined between the embedding codes

Hey guys. Used the groupings to embed a picture in a post but it only embedded the link. Went advanced and the embed image button is gone.

Maybe you're putting the code in wrong?

If not, try right clicking the image and click "View image." Copy the url that comes after you "view the image." Sometimes, the url that you copy isn't the direct link to the image, so it won't embed. Doing the "view image" thing will ensure that you get the direct link.

You need to save the image to a image hosting site like Photobucket and then use the image link from there.
