I noticed that Ronda also had Monster Ads on her reebok uniform. Is Ronda complying with UFC that she would not be receiving sponsorship money from Monster?

Conor wore one too as well as Rory I believe

Was strange to me as well, nobody seems to have said anything about it though but does that mean fighters can try to get sponsorships from certain companies and wear it on the shorts

Certain fighters have contractual exemptions due to previous contracts. McGregor, MacDonald, Barao, and Ronda have all had patches on their Reebok clothing. Cerrone says he's going to put on his own sponsors regardless of what Zuffa/Reebok say. We'll see about that.

Hopefully it will become a regular instance as Reebok realizes they are hurting the sport and continue to get negative press.

If you have a "UFC approved" sponsor (aka somebody who they do dealings with), you can have them on the shorts as an independent deal. It's why TNT and Monster are on some shorts.

This really messes with the fight kit being authentic looking.

Reebok deal allows for up to 5 non-competing sponsors I believe. Monster is one of them.
