its crazy to think a guy who gets such heat about his unorthodox striking from everyone saying its bad, but hes able to outstrike everyone he fights, but whats most interesting is the stats from the RDA fight.. especially considering RDA outstruck Pettis.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Rafael dos Anjos
    Standing Strikes:
    - Khabib (97 significant strikes) | Rafael (56 significant strikes)

    Ground/Clinch Strikes:
    - Khabib (21 significant strikes) | Rafael (1 significant strike)

    Takedowns:
    - Khabib (6/6 - 100%) | Rafael (0% - on all attempts)

    Guard Passes:
    - Khabib (6 guard passes) | Rafael (0 guard passes)

Aren't you counting ground strikes in total sig strikes... of course he's ahead on that. Would be interested to see the strictly standing numbers.

blah blah all them fancy pitchers and words you dun posted. Time and time again it's been said: RDA landed a massive left (I believe) in the first and Pettis didn't recover. They were saying he wasn't with it in the locker room after the fight. Many times I've heard/read many people say this.

not threadworthy. again with the whitebelting.

Even if you subtract the ground strikes, khabib still landed more.

it was a fucking fantastic punch too. Props to Dos Anjos for throwing it but more props for Pettis for withstanding it.

he said, posting in the same thread he previously shat uponst for coming from the white belt.

I assume you're using fightmetric. If you are then you've been reading it wrong.

97 and 56 are total significant strikes attempted by Khabib and RDA respectively. What they landed was 36 and 20 significant strikes.

Came here to say this. When your grappling is as dangerous as khabib's it'll create opportunities. Gsp, weidman, werdum, hendricks, ronda, cormier, so forth and so on. People get stuck suffering the lesser of the evils. This is pretty much why khabib will be champ. His grappling is by far superior to anybody's at lw
