My MMA math doesn't add up here
IMO Chris has the best takedowns at MW(though you can make an arguement for Romero) and he's got one of the most dangerous top games as well.
Weidman is a very good fighter.
Chris is winning every fight until he gets KOd. Kelvin didn't KO him.
Because if you actually watched the fights you would know that he's still a top 5 middleweight.
Cliff used his size and wrestling. Showed why Kelvin will always struggle against the bigger 85ers with good wrestling.
What I remember most about this fight was the idiots in the crowd chanting USA in the middle of the match.
Weidman is very underrated around here, much bigger and stronger than Kelvin, once the fight hit the ground it was over, not that is a 10/10 for Weidman, but he won that fair and square.
Cause The Chris is the GOAT or Kelvin is overrated
The Chris was lucky to get out of that 1st round.
My favorite sub! Probably the one I catch people the most with.
That looks hella tight, too. Good stuff!
This. Chris is an amazing fighter but his chin doesn't hold up. Even with this flaw, he could beat anyone in the division on a good day.
Cliff Weidman, buddies with Michael Cro Cop and Giblert Melendez!
He used his wrassling.
Weidman has some serious fucking skills. He gets cocky so ppl hate on him which I get, but they also underestimate him. Weidman on a good night can give any MW in the world a very tough fight
Prime Weidman would beat Israel with ease too. Now, not so much.
Massive size difference.
Kelvin was winning the stand up exchanges but Weidman looked 2 weight classes bigger and once it hit the floor it was a wrap.
He’s still my boy, but in my opinion his camp and management has done him a disservice having him fight killer after killer especially after bad knockouts. You have to pull a guy back a bit after a bad KO and let him get his feet under himself again.
The Chris is still a very dangerous fighter. Capable of beating anyone in that division.
