Notice how Fedor put out his right arm first before he lands. It's actually a technique used in Judo so that the arm will absorb the initial impact of the throw.

He's been falling and was thrown his whole life in training. He knows how to land awkwardly.

Mitrione got hit in the shoulder with most of the punch he confirmed it post fight on an interview, and watching that gif u can see the impact on Matt's upper peck or collarbone area it puts him down but not really rocked.

Meathead said he was terrified to stand and bang after that he put everything into getting on him and finishing....

    Honestly hope for a rematch.

Fedor was the only fighter i've ever truly believed was invincible at one point. Once in a lifetime fighter.

A little unfair, considering "black don't crack".

I believe Fedor is the GOAT, and he did a lot of amazing things...

... but people seem waaaaaaaay too fascinated with this particular instance. I've literally seen high school kids get suplexed like this and come back to win a match.

There's a reason the first thing that a beginning wrestler is taught is to tuck his chin when he's being thrown. Your body and spine can absorb a surprising amount when it's bent in that direction. Now if Fedor had been looking up when he landed and taken that impact with his spine bent the other way, we'd have a completely different story, and a potentially career (and lower body functioning) ending injury. But that's not what happened.

Oh, I didn’t realize Romero went 10 years undefeated before he finally lost.

I could start explaining the difference between fighting age and chronological age, but I wouldn’t want it to go over head.

But no. The reason he fell on it was because he didnt stop his fall. Because he was badly rocked.
