Can somebody tell me? Sounds crazy Ed Herman won against Glover.

You mean 9 years ago? In his 4th fight?

Fighters do this thing once in awhile, it's called getting better over time?

I'm just joshin' ya, it is a weird loss to have on your record considering. Then again, there's weirder cases out there if we look hard enough.

It was 8 years ago, Glover was green, Herman had way more fights already, against vastly better competition - not that hard to imagine.

Haven't seen the fight too tell much though.

It was Glover's 4th pro fight and Herman had about a dozen matches under his belt at the time - against some tough competition too (Misaki, Ebersole, Doerkson).

I imagine Herman stifled Glover's stand-up and took him down a lot. I've not seen the fight though, so I'm just guessing.

"I had thought going into the fights that Glover would win against Herman. Glover rocked Herman really hard a few times on the feet. Herman started taking down Glover repeatedly and neutralizing his ground game. Glover wasn't able to get back up off his back and when he looked a few times like he had position to work toward submission he couldn't pull it off. Herman landed a lot of nasty elbows, even cutting Glover below the eye, and won the decision.

Everyone up there really enjoys Glover, though, so I'm sure he'll be back - he seemed upset with his performance after the fights, so I'm guessing he's going to fix the problems he encountered in this fight and come back stronger."

How did Anderson Silva, Renan Barao and Junior Dos Santos lose early on in their career?

"Glover was frustrated, and I think he let his frustration get to him in the 3rd round. However, we do have a plan for his training that will help to fix some of the problems he had during that fight with Herman. Hopefully Matt will bring him back to Sportfight as he enjoys fighting in Oregon and likes the TQ guys he has had the opportunity to meet.

He was dissapointed in his performance, nobody likes to lose or not perform up to personal expectations. However, it is a learning experience."

What weigHt was this at? Had to be 205 because even in 2004 at age 25, I can't imagine Glover making 185.
