How come the UFC doesn’t get young phenoms like AJ McKee?

So TS is looking for young prospects in the UFC who are being groomed and haven't lost yet? like Topuria ,Jack Shore, Rakhmonov, Gane, or Sean brady, for example? I wouldn't say they're being groomed per say, but they're young and undefeated.... I'm really confused about what it is exactly that he's looking for.

You're right. The roster is too deep for TS and he doesn't probably watch enough Fight Nights. Additionally, those guys eventually lose or have much longer roads to contention before title fights which is probably what he's getting at.

Ah, so he's probably thinking young, undefeated prospects that stay that way all the way to their title shot. Gane is there right now, Movsar evloev is getting close as well. It is rare to have fighters make it to a title shot without losing their O first, but that's not only rare in the UFC--it's rare in most major MMA promotions.

I mean look at Fiziev, Tasrukyan (sp?) etc
They would be making waves in bellator
They dont shine enough in the UFC because there are other shining brighter
Low level talent in the UFC is a mixture of prospects and very experienced vets
When a fighter genuinely rises in the UFC rankings, they tend to stay there longer

They do.

They are constantly signing young talent it just takes time for them to emerge as Elite because they face a harder road in the UFC.

Most of the UFC’s biggest stars were all signed when they young and single digits fights on their records.

There was once a time were Max Holloway was the youngest fighter on the UFC roster. For a while Charles Olivera was the youngest fighter on the UFC roster. Rob Whittaker was like 21 when he signed with the UFC. Rose Namajuanas around 23 when they were originally signed with the promotion. Dustin Poirier was 22 when he had his first UFC fight. I believe Jon Jones was signed at 21. Khabib was signed at 23. Brain Ortega was signed at 23.
UFC has moved away from that model tho over the years. Notice how most of those people were signed a long time ago

No they haven’t.

Look how many of those contender series guys that under 25.

We just aren’t talking about them because they haven’t reached the title yet. In time more legends will emerge and when we look back we’ll see they were signed young.

EXAMPLES; Note that these are their current ages all of these guys were signed even younger

Jimmy Crute Age 24
Edmen Shahbazyan Age 22
Song Yadong Age 22
Brenden Allen Age 24
Maycce Barber AGe 23
Arman Tsarukyan Age 24
Sabina Mazo Age 23

Umar Nurmagemodov Age 23
Mirnada Maverick Age 23
Kay Hansen Age 21
llia Toupuria Age 23
Cory Mckeena Age 21

Its really very simple. The UFC doesn't sign fighters who haven't made their pro debut yet (apart from CM Punk) and Bellator is willing to do that.

The UFC has plenty of top prospects. Actually one on the main card this weekend:

Zarrukh Adashev

Look him up he’s FILTHY. The UFC only signs the best fighters and everyone in the UFC is elite and would destroy anyone not in the UFC obviously. He would be champ in PFL ONE and Bellator rn because he’s a UFC fighter.

Zarrukh is actually 3-0 in Bellator lol, should have gone with Cheyanne Buys.

Remind me in 3 years how many off these people actually pan out

Lol wasn't this guy undefeated in Bellator before he can to the UFC and started getting his asskicked left and right

First off these fighters are between 20-24. So it would more fair to ask in 6-10 years (as opposed to 3) when they start entering their prime how they pan out.

Second. You really think Arman Tsarukyan and Umar Nurmagemodov aren't going to pan out!!?? LMAO

Third. This just a short list fighters under 25 there are ALOT more on the roster. One of them will pan out due to the sheer number of young fighter UFC signs each year

What is Cheyanne's appeal? Why is she on the main card? She doesn't even finish fights, is just somewhat attractive.

He was 0-1 when he signed with Bellator. Fought three regional scrubs and UFC signed him for some reason. His manager should get a raise since no idea how they accomplished it. He was nowhere near facing Bellator top talent

I think it's mainly because she said get up bitch on the contender series.

Cuz they dont wanna go on Dana's contender show.

I think top to bottom the UFC has better fighters but in terms of YOUNG potential phenoms with pedigree Dana white is slipping .

imagine those guys (Aaron Pico,Aj McKee) in the UFC? Like shit who’s the best prospect they even have? Chimaev? Like come on.

bellator over protected him so he has no reason to leave. also aj dad was part of the ufc lawsuit so aj wanted no part of the ufc when he turned pro.

aaron pico and all the wrestlers bellator signed they were willin to sign than and allow them to train on belaltor dime. the ufc never does that.

notice the ufc doesnt get all of khabib family which there like 5 of them they slowly add them after they fought else where

Bellator offers him more money.

That’s one thing I think they do better than the UFC, they pay their fighters more and let them have sponsors. Which is funny because the UFC is infinitely more wealthy than BMMA but refuses to pay people or let them have sponsors.

so if bellator pays more why are there been fighters who make 5k or less.

Cuz they dont wanna go on Dana's contender show.

he been in bellator for like 5 years long before that was ever an idea. like the ufc would of protected aj like all thsoe cans belaltor offered him.

Bellator likes to sign young prospects and have them fight Boxcar Bob at least twelve times before giving them a real fight, and even then, Boxcar Bob beats most of their talent at least twice
