How can you sell punk as a badazz? How do you have punk hang with Lesnar?

He can't come back. Or can he? Hardcore wrestling fans like nerds now.. They want their superstars to not be overly threatening; so maybe punk can cone back.. But by the old (smart) school rules, he should be gone.. He made PW look weak. You aren't supposed to do that.

So could punk be sold as a tough guy again, or no?

it’s fake. people throw each other into ring ropes. they’ll forget about this within a couple of months.

PW has old school eyes.. They won't forget. The fans might, and they might not, but PW itself knows.

Doubt he’s coming back.

I do know that Nakamura could beat the crap out of that hairdresser that Punk faced.

New Japan would take him, and the fans probably wouldn't shit on him

Isn't there some stable for loudmouth gaijins over there?

169lb unathletic guy who is 0-2 isn't intimidating.

He has to beat Brock! He deserves it!

Rousey is super over in the WWE, and this was coming off of two brutal KO losses (one of them coming in about a minute)...

Fans like what they like, and Punk is something that they like.

They announced that Punk was going to make an appearance at the convention before the ALL-IN event, and that was the main reason the show sold out as fast as it did...

He could have an MMA record of 20-0 and wrestling fans would still want to watch him in a pro wrestling ring.

I thought of this.. But WWE fan is boot licking Steph and HHH with the Rousey love, and being nicer because she's a girl. She also was a high level champ and what, 10-2 overall? It's different, because she was a champ.

He doesn’t drink, fuck around, crash Bentleys and made 10 or more million from WWE. He’s fucking around with comics and shit.
I don't know if I could take a comic book character that comes from his brain seriously as a badass right now..

The Japanese fans would shit on him.

When Yugi Nagata was destroyed by Cro Cop and Fedor his career went south for awhile.

Punk could be sold as competent if he worked on his body. If he were to return to WWE looking like some junkie found in an alley on 35th street in the South Side of Chicago, no.

Fans eventually forget, but it doesn't look like Punk wants to come back. He'll never be viewed as a tough guy anywhere.

He was also Japanese who lost badly to gaijins.

Punk's just another entertaining white devil.

Ever?

What's he going to do for money for the next 35 years?

True, he won't be regarded as a tough guy anywhere. Even in WWE look who they've had as their champion the last few years. Brock Lesnar doesn't have the most exciting matches in the world and he's not good at cutting promos but he has a legitimate reputation as a tough guy. That's enough reason and frankly, the only reason he has been their champion.

As for what he will do for money, the job he's most qualified for is coaching the guys on The UFC roster on improving their interview skills The vast majority of the guys in The UFC couldn't cut a good promo if their lives depended on it. Yet, whether they like it or don't like it, they're working for what is today's leading pro wrestling promotion. They've just gone back to shooting which is what they did in pro wrestling back in the 1800's and early 1900s. Being able to cut promos and give a reason for the fans to care whether you win or lose still matters and is why the guy who has done the best in The UFC over the last few years is Conor McGregor who not coincidentally is the best guy The UFC at cutting promos.

Pro wrestling fans who can admit it is fake will have no trouble. The subhuman form of WWE fan might be breaking down right now because their fake hero got wrecked by a total pudball.
