I think last night's heavyweight fight showed that top 5 heavyweights just aren't what they used to be.

With Overeem and JDS aged out. Cain Velasquez and Brock long gone.

We have a Heavyweight division with like 3-4 great guys and not much else.

Ngannou, Gane, Stipe, Blaydes.......

......

Is this a money issue? Because there was less money in MMA back in the day and There was Heavyweight competition in the UFC, in Pride, in Strikeforce, etc.

I can't say Bellator has any good ones either. Or ONE.

For the bigger guys I'm sure they can get paid more in other ventures than fighting

They could have maybe got Steveson but they blundered that.

Because manlet weight classes don’t have nfl, nba, wwe, etc as other far more lucrative options … but heavyweights do

I dont know....who wants to join up for an opportunity and not a career and get paid like shit

You have to pay enough for these types of athletes to not want to be in AEW or WWE or the NFL. They can't beat NFL money for the big-time players but there are a lot of great athletic big guys making league minimum because they're just not good enough at football. They can get those kinds of guys.

HWs dont have little man syndrome.... its a tough sell for all the manlets watching who wanna be alphas deep down
