How can the HW division be fixed

It's pretty much a fact that the HW division is currently the weakest of the traditional UFC weight classes. The two best fighters in the division (and when I mean best I mean there is no one close to these two guys) have fought each other three times with the last two fights ending in resounding beat downs that pretty much make a 4th fight unpalatable. In addition, Cain is about to fight the only worthy challenger left in Werdum. Should Cain beat Werdum as most expect, any challenger that follows will likely be undeserving. What can be done to fix the HW division? We all know how important HW fighting is to combat sports. Boxing has shown over and over again that a thriving HW division is one of the best ways to gain and maintain interest in fighting.

It's fine. The ufc just needs to SIGN more guys. There are TONS of hw fighters. I JUST went to a show in boston and there was a guy there who was 7-0 as a pro and had to be atleast 6"6 250. Young guy and won by tko. The ufc IS the problem with the Division

This. There's nothing wrong with it imo. It just needs to be represented more. I feel like there aren't a lot of HW fights despite having a decent sized roster.

the biggest problem is that in the almost 4 years since cain *first* won the belt, he has only fought 5 times, and 3 of those were JDS.

Sign the russians from Bellator. Minakov and Volkov are top 15 hws. Create interim title while Cain is inactive. Sign Ishii. This will help.

It needs more fighters and they need to fight more often.

HW fights are usually fun. (minus stuff like Schaub-AA) The finishing rate is over 70% (that is 20% higher than the next highest weight class)

They barely put on HW fights though

Compared to other divisions, HW barely has any prospects outside the UFC. 145 is littered with them.
