How Can One Be The Most Skilled MMA Fighter, And Yet,

This sport involves damage you dumb fuck. Fighters who start early tend to exit their prime early due to damage. It's not complicated.

Fair enough, though I interpreted your post about choosing terms carefully (and the implication that I was too lax in doing so in my first post) as meaning you wanted a technical discussion. I'll even grant you mean career changing rather than catastrophic. It doesn't address the general problem about the very large frequency of athletes unable to repeat Olympic medals after the age of 30, or of athletes like Tyson/Jones/Ali.
Dude, if you are putting a so called 'GOAT' fighter in the category of "just another guy who was good and fell off early" then you are proving my point.

For example, Muhammad Ali was so skillful that he was still very competitive even when he was passed 30 years of age, and the guy was a HW boxer who started at age 18. He took so much damage which probably contributed to his Parkinsonism. And yet, he was still sleeping fools after the age of 30. LOL

That is GOAT level skills.
