How can Nate not get popped for marijuana?

On this short of notice? Hes gonna get popped.

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has made life easier for mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters who happen to be marijuana smokers, raising the threshold for a positive test result for Carboxy-THC (marijuana metabolite) from 50 ng/mL to 150 ng/mL, according to a report from Middle Easy.

NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer breaks it down for Inside MMA (via MMA Weekly):

"The rule was changed to ensure fighters were not penalized for using marijuana days or weeks prior to competing. Fighters will still not be permitted to be under the influence of marijuana during a fight."

Anyway, you're thinking of Nick.
Nate seems more reasonable in regards to his drug use.

Won't make a difference. He's going to lose. And if he wins it's not because weed helped him. It will be a Nick vs Gomi situation. We all know Nick won.

Nate doesn't actually smoke weed... He's like Cheech and Chong, it's all part of an act to make him popular... He talks way different as well. Kinda like Kelsey Grammer.

I don't think he will get tested until after the fight, has Nate even ever been busted for weed? I dont think so.

weed is tricky for how long it stays in your system. How much you smoke and how much fat you have play a big part in it. Someone who is thin and does a ton of cardio work can pass a piss test after a few days of not smoking, while someone who is fat and doesn't work out can fail a test 30+ days after not smoking. If he stopped smoking the day he found out he was potential candidate to fight Conor, he'll be fine. Also, it's Nick that has been popped 3 times and talked about smoking on many occasions, but Nate has never failed a drug test. It's easy to assume they both smoke the same amount because they are brothers, but history tells us that Nick smokes way more than Nate, if Nate even smokes at all.

I loved the part in the presser:

Reporter: What are you going to buy with the money?
Nate: Lots of shit.
Fan shouts: "OG KUSH!"
Nate mouths & signs: Big bag

Totally.

Has to get popped. 10 days is around the shortest period it remains in the body and thats for experienced users [Nate probably falls under that category]. If he doesn't, it means the UFC are paying the drug testers to sweep it under the rug. People think doping agencies are ethical. No. They are just an organisation performing a service to provide the illusion of a clean sport for cash.
