How can Miesha Tate beat Ronda Rousey?

She can't... unless Ronda has some kind of freak injury or something. This fight is a total waste of time for all concerned.

Someone needs to burn these words in Miesha's brain, because she's not the brightest of the bunch. She might have a chance at a upset if it wasn't for her God awful camp.

Having said that, she has the best chance out of anyone besides Cyborg. Whoever thinks otherwise are delusional.
 
She can't, everyone knows that. It's yet another Honda squash match so the media can drool over what an inspiration Rousey is while she beats the same opponent for the third time.

Is anyone actually hyped for this fight??
 
Ronda throws wild punches and is susceptible to getting her jaw tapped. I believe Tate's only chance is by TKO or decision.
 
Jab and circle away, Throw non committal leg kicks, avoid the clinch at all costs while moving and striking, bide your time

Rousey will tire from the bull rushes and swinging hay makers then you have a tiny chance. When women don't walk right into he clinch Rousey sprints at them and she clearly isn't playing the long game

Miesha doesn't have the tactical intelligence or the skill set to pull it off but it's the only viable strategy. Think of how a fighter like DJ or GSP would approach a fight with someone like Rousey. Wouldn't it be something similar? Avoid their strength and expose their weakness. In Ronda the strength is judo the only weakness for her in this weight class is cardio

With the way superfights have been going, I'm fully expecting Cyborg vs. Rousey to get booked, only for Miesha to upset Ronda in some bizarre fashion.
 
Rousey will beat her from pillar to post....Cyborg will emerge,and distract the whole arena,giving Tate time to put on her 'brass knucks' and KO Rousey....#&NEW.
 
Avoid going to the ground at all costs. Don't go for the takedown even for the points. Miesha has way better hands than RRR. I also want to say she has a better chin.
The only way she can win is at distance with her hands and hopefully landing on the button. Otherwise, she would have to pull something real crazy...Maybe the first ever WMMA leg kick KO? Has Ronda shown she can check a leg kick?
 
She had nothing on Ronda anywhere in the second fight which lasted for a few rounds.
 
Needs a much higher fight IQ. Why she kept going for take downs...i'll never know.
 
Watching Tate's last fight I noticed a real improvement in power. She is hitting much harder! She needs to keep distance and then try to drop bombs. She has KO power and that is the path to success.

However, Ronda too has big power.

It would be fun to see a complete stand up war.

i legit lol over tate having a better chin. how did tate's chin do against mcmann when mcmann knocked down tate and cracked tate's skull with the overhand right that broke tate's orbital face bone?

Tate needs to fight a lot more intelligently than she did in the second fight. Watching her attempt takedowns on a world-class submission specialist was like :icon_excl:icon_excl:icon_excl:eek:.

She needs to avoid the ground and wear her down first with striking. Focus on her body more - Honda has not shown any inclination to avoid being hit except for driving straight into her opponents.

Slowly coming around on the Holm bandwagon. She hasn't really looked impressive so far. I want to see her in a few more fights.

Tate can do it. But she's not nearly as smart as a 5th grader.
